AEG Vision in Portland, TN seeks an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver high-quality patient care from pre-testing through post-exam tasks.

You will conduct preliminary evaluations, assist with diagnostic testing, manage the appointment schedule, and ensure accurate medical records while upholding HIPAA standards. This role emphasizes teamwork, patient education, and efficient clinic operations.

Experience in eye care and certification in CPO/CPOA/CPOT is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; ability to work under pressure.
• Experience maintaining patient records per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-exam evaluations and support for the Optometrist.
• Schedule referrals and manage paperwork.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Confirm appointments and reschedule no-shows to maximize schedule utilization.
• Support end-of-day wrap-up and maintain practice cleanliness.
