Job summary

AEG Vision in Hendersonville, TN seeks an Optometric Technician to support eye care teams and ensure high-quality patient experiences.

You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, manage scheduling, and help with medical documentation and HIPAA compliance. Previous eye care experience and certifications (CPO/CPOA/CPOT) are preferred; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrists with pre-testing procedures and imaging.
• Manage doctor appointment scheduling for efficient patient flow.
• Support documentation and billing processes per CPT codes.
• Maintain and organize patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
