Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly with a smile and display a professional image.
• Answer telephone calls promptly in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist during eye examinations and prepare patients for exams.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; coordinate with staff as needed.
• Maintain organized patient records in accordance with HIPAA.
• Support retention and scheduling through follow-up calls and reminders.
• Manage contact lens orders and maintain the contact lens room clean and orderly.
• Input patient data, insurance information and services using the CIAO system.
