Job summary

LensCrafters in Dayton, OH seeks an Optometric Technician to deliver the LensCrafters Experience by supporting exam flow and patient care. You will assist the optometrist, gather medical history, and ensure accurate data entry in CIAO, while maintaining HIPAA compliance and high standards of customer service.

You’ll greet patients, handle calls, manage records, and help with contact lens orders and inventory.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year strong customer service skills.
• Strong communicator and listener.
• Problem solving ability.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess priorities and deadlines in fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work autonomously.
• Knowledge of office environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients promptly and display a professional image.
• Answer the telephone in a friendly and courteous manner.
• Assist the optometrist with eye examinations and patient preparation.
• Review prescriptions and patient information carefully; consult as needed.
• Maintain patient records in a HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Support retention through follow-up and no-show calls.
