AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to assist optometrists and deliver exceptional patient care and education. You will conduct pre-testing, support specialty diagnostics, and help manage the doctor’s schedule for an efficient, high-quality patient experience.

You’ll perform tasks such as dilation, topical medications, and documenting findings in EHRs, while ensuring HIPAA compliance and accurate CPT/Billings. Strong communication and teamwork are essential in this collaborative practice.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification: CPO, CPOA, CPOT.

Responsabilités

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto reflector, visual acuity.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks, and manage doctor’s appointment schedule.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and company policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries by phone and assist with clerical duties related to medical documentation.
