AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists with patient care and education. You will conduct pre-testing procedures, assist with diagnostic testing, manage the doctor’s appointment schedule, and ensure a high-quality patient experience from start to finish.

The role involves performing tests (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera), maintaining EHR documentation, and handling clerical duties related to medical records. On-site position in Indiana.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsabilités

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, topicals, diagnostic medications, Optomap, auto refractor, visual acuity.
• May be required to schedule referral appointments with Ophthalmologists and other specialty referrals and complete paperwork.
• Records and maintain patient records / files in compliance with HIPAA and state policies.
