Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists with patient care and education. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a high-quality patient experience from start to finish.

You will perform testing (OCT, visual acuity, etc.), document findings in the EHR, and help with clerical duties while maintaining HIPAA standards. On-site, full-time role with benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with eye treatment terminology.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty tests.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule and patient flow.
• Record medical findings in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries and coordinate referrals as needed.
• Support scribe tasks or refractions as required.
