AEG Vision in Ohio seeks an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists, deliver exceptional patient care, and educate patients. You will assist with pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and scheduling to ensure a smooth, high‑quality patient experience from start to finish.

You will perform pre‑tests, help with diagnostic testing, maintain HIPAA compliant records, and support clerical tasks related to medical documentation. This role emphasizes teamwork and patient education.

Formación

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to the details and ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co‑workers and patients.

Responsabilidades

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure a high‑quality patient experience.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• May perform diagnostic testing using OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, and Retinal Camera.
• May act as a scribe for the Optometrist or perform refractions.
• Perform contact lens insertion/removal classes and manage inventory.
