Job summary

AEG Vision in Ohio is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver excellent patient care. You’ll conduct pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help ensure a smooth, efficient patient experience from start to finish.

You’ll manage the doctor’s schedule, document findings in EHR, participate in contact lens services, and help maintain a clean, organized practice. Strong attention to detail, HIPAA familiarity, and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in HIPAA‑compliant manner.
• Assist with contact lens fittings and inventory management.
