Job summary

AEG Vision in Colorado Springs seeks an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver high-quality patient care. You will perform pre-testing, assist with specialty diagnostics, document findings in EHR, and help manage the appointment schedule to ensure an efficient patient experience.

The ideal candidate has experience evaluating patients for eye exams, familiarity with eye care terminology, HIPAA compliance, and relevant certifications (CPO, CPOA, CPOT); proficiency with Microsoft

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients' records per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrist with pre-testing and diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule and patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR per policies.
• Perform post-exam tasks and clerical duties.
• Contribute to end-of-day wrap-up and office organization.
