Job summary

AEG Vision in Thornton, CO seeks an Optometric Technician to support patient care alongside Optometrists. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule for efficient, high‑quality experiences.

Ideal candidates have eye-care experience, HIPAA knowledge, and a collaborative, detail‑oriented approach to patient education and documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients' records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation, diagnostics, and acuity.
• Record and maintain patient records in compliance with policies.
• Assist with scheduling and coordination of appointments and referrals.
• Support the doctor during exams and education of patients.
