Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our team in Bellevue. You will support Optometrists with pre-testing, testing, and scheduling to ensure a smooth, high‑quality patient experience from check‑in to check‑out.

You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with diagnostic testing, maintain HIPAA-compliant records, and help manage referrals and billing while delivering exceptional patient education and care.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• Strong attention to details and ability to work under pressure in fast paced environment.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills to effectively and professionally collaborate with co‑workers and patients.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist, such as dilation and testing procedures.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post‑exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient, high‑quality patient experience.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA and documentation requirements.
• Record CPT codes and assist with billing for post‑op and office visits.
• Support scribing or refraction tasks as needed.
