Job summary

AEG Vision is hiring an Optometric Technician at Memorial Eye Center-Baytown Town Square on-site in Baytown, TX. You will support Optometrists, perform pre-testing, diagnostic testing, exam preparation, and manage the doctor’s schedule to deliver efficient, high-quality patient care.

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• May be required to schedule referral appointments and complete paperwork.
• Records and maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Responds to patient inquiries regarding medication, treatment, problems.
• May perform diagnostic testing using specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field...).
• Documents medical findings and communications in EHR.
