Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing and measurements. Training will be provided to learn the industry and deliver a best-in-class patient experience.

This role may require weekend and evening shifts. The wage range is $16.00 to $21.00 hourly, with compliance to wage and hour laws. Our team offers growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED required; basic math skills helpful.
• Personable and patient demeanor essential for patient comfort.
• Detail oriented individual to support exam prep and documentation.
• Willingness to learn about optical industry and procedures.
• Collaborative team player to work with doctors and staff.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions, and chart medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
