Zusammenfassung

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists and deliver exceptional patient care. You will conduct pre-exam assessments, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule for efficient patient flow.

You will handle medical documentation, HIPAA compliance, and post-exam tasks while maintaining a high standard of service in a fast-paced environment. Full-time, on-site role in Orlando, FL.

Qualifikationen

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Industry certification in optometry (CPO/CPOA/CPOT) is preferred.

Aufgaben

• Perform pre-exam screening and educational support for patients.
• Assist optometrists with diagnostic testing and scheduling.
• Record and maintain patient records per HIPAA and policy.
• Manage appointment flow and reminders to maximize schedule utilization.
• Support contact lens fitting, inventory, and orders.
• Document findings in Electronic Health Records (EHR).
• Assist with end-of-day wrap-up and clerical duties.
• May scribe for the Optometrist or perform refractions as needed.
• Perform additional duties as requested.
