Job summary

MyEyeDr. in Parma, OH is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our Doctors of Optometry with patient prep, preliminary testing and measurements. You will learn pretest equipment and assist with screenings, contact lens training, and a smooth patient flow.

Weekend and some evenings may be required. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and be personable, patient, and detail oriented. Prior healthcare/optical background helps, but training is provided for the right candidate in

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and ability to understand basic math.
• Personable and patient, capable of comforting patients during screening.
• Detail oriented with ability to work closely with the optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on delivering the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for the exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures during visits.
• Learn to operate pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
