Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by handling preliminary testing and measurements. No optical experience is required as training will be provided. Weekend and evening shifts may be required as patient care demands.

You will document patient history, support exam flow, and help patients feel comfortable during procedures while learning to operate pretest equipment and assist with contact lens training.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required with basic math ability.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and team-oriented collaboration with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, products and services.
• Prior healthcare/medical/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exam prep.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patient comfort with procedures encountered during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings before the doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training and related preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to deliver a seamless patient experience.
