Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, conducting preliminary testing, and documenting medical history. Training will be provided to learn and operate pretest equipment and assist with screenings.

Ideal candidates are personable, detail-oriented, and eager to learn about optics. Weekend/evening shifts may be required to ensure a smooth patient experience and high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Personable, patient, able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented and able to work with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about optics, products and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on best patient experience.
• Training provided for right candidate, healthcare/optical background preferred.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for the optometrist exam.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during the visit.
• Learn to use pretest equipment to perform visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and preliminary testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for a seamless patient experience.
