Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for visits, performing preliminary testing, and measuring essential parameters. No optical experience is required, training will be provided. Weekend and evening shifts may be required as part of the role.

You will collaborate with doctors and staff to ensure a smooth patient flow and a best-in-class vision care experience for every patient.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; ability to understand basic math.
• Personable, patient, and capable of comforting patients during screening.
• Detail-oriented; able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about the industry, products, and services.
• Collaborative team player focused on the best patient experience.
• Healthcare/optical background preferred but not required; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for Optometrist exam.
• Maintain a smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with office procedures.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other tests.
• Collaborate with doctors and team for seamless patient experience.
