Job summary

MyEyeDr. is seeking an Optometric Technician to support our Doctors of Optometry by preparing patients for exams, performing preliminary testing and measurements, and learning about pretest equipment through on-the-job training.

You'll ensure a smooth patient flow, help patients feel comfortable, and collaborate with the doctor and team to deliver a best-in-class vision care experience. Some weekend/evening shifts are required. We offer training and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED with ability to understand/do basic math.
• Personable, patient and able to comfort patients during screening.
• Detail oriented and able to work closely with the Optometrist.
• Willingness to learn about industry, product and services.
• Collaborative team player providing the best patient experience.

Responsibilities

• Consult with patients, document conditions and medical history for exams.
• Maintain smooth flow of patients to the Doctor and staff during appointments.
• Ensure patients are comfortable with procedures during visits.
• Learn to use pretest equipment for visual screenings before doctor visit.
• Conduct contact lens training for applicable patients and other testing.
• Collaborate with doctors and team to provide a seamless patient experience.
