AEG is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and ensure high-quality patient care.

You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and manage the doctor’s schedule to deliver efficient patient experiences. The role emphasizes accurate documentation in EHR and responsive patient communication.

Qualifications include high school or GED, experience with eye exams, and industry certifications (CPO/CPOA/CPOT). This is a full-time, on-site position with benefits.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Interviews patient to determine medical issues for the Optometrist.
• Schedule referrals and manage paperwork as needed.
• Maintain patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and care.
• Perform diagnostic testing with specialty equipment (OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, Retinal Camera).
• Document findings in EHR and assist with clerical tasks.
