Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to join our on-site team and support optometrists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth patient experience.

You will perform tasks including preliminary exams, patient interviews, electronic health record documentation, and clerical duties. Strong communication, accuracy, and familiarity with eye care terminology are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and assisting in eye care
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary patient evaluations prior to exam
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing
• Manage doctor appointment schedules for efficient patient flow
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance
• Process referrals and paperwork for specialty follow-ups
• Support end-of-day opti-schedule wrap-up and inventory tasks
