Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to assist Optometrists, support patient care, and educate patients for a high‑quality experience. You’ll conduct pre‑testing, assist with diagnostic tests, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure smooth visits.

You’ll document findings in EHR, reference CPT codes, and coordinate referrals if needed, all while upholding HIPAA and delivering patient‑centered care on site.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO/CPOA/CPOT) required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR per HIPAA and policies.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatment.
• May perform scribe duties or refractions as needed.
