Job summary

AEG Vision in Lowell, MA is seeking an Optometric Technician to support clinicians and deliver high-quality patient care. You’ll conduct pre-exam testing, help with specialty tests, and manage the doctor’s schedule to keep visits efficient.

You will perform preliminary evaluations, assist with contact lens services, maintain patient records under HIPAA, and collaborate with the team to ensure smooth operations. Strong attention to detail and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam.
• Operate diagnostic testing and manage the doctor’s appointment schedule.
• Maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Assist with contact lens services and inventory.
• Support clinicians and perform other duties as requested.
