Job summary

Elica Health Centers in California is expanding its vision services. The Optometric Technician will provide direct patient care in a fast-paced clinical and optical setting, helping patients of all ages, and may perform front desk tasks such as scheduling, insurance verification, and payments.

Candidates should have 1 year of Optometric Technician experience, proficiency with optometric equipment, EPIC EHR experience preferred, and a strong understanding of HIPAA privacy standards.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 1 year of experience as an Optometric Technician.
• Knowledge of optometric equipment and testing best practices.
• Experience with Electronic Health Records systems (EPIC preferred).
• HIPAA privacy and confidentiality knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary and ancillary testing (auto-refraction, visual field screenings, visual acuity) and dilation.
• Assist optometrist with testing and duties; referrals as needed.
• Maintain exam rooms, labs, and inventory; restock supplies.
