Job summary

EyeCare Partners is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists in a clinical setting. The role includes operating ophthalmic equipment, assisting with testing, and delivering a world-class Total Patient Experience.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED and prior medical office exposure, with ophthalmic experience preferred. Flexibility for varying schedules and travel to locations may be necessary.

Qualifications

• Previous medical office experience preferred; ophthalmic experience strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year interacting with customers/patients or equivalent education/experience.
• Background check results must be favorable as required by state.
• Must provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Deliver Total Patient Experience by building relationships and providing medical support.
• Comply with HIPAA and company policies.
• Respect patients' and doctors' time; maintain schedule efficiency.
• Operate ophthalmic devices (lensometers, autorefractor, keratometer, retinal camera).
• Follow testing scripts for photos, visual fields, and activity.
• Maintain clean examination equipment and work area.
• Interact professionally with all staff levels.
• Assist with general office duties as assigned by the manager.
• Contribute to a positive, patient-focused team environment.
• Be flexible with hours, including possible weekends or schedule changes.
