Job summary

EyeCare Partners seeks an Optometric Technician to support world-class patient experiences in a clinical setting. You will help prepare patients for exams by performing initial testing and operating ophthalmic equipment under the supervision of optometrists.

The role requires attention to HIPAA guidelines, strong customer service experience, and the ability to work flexible hours, including weekends. Proficiency with standard office software is expected.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year in a position interacting with customers/patients or the equivalent combination of education and experience
• Favorable result on background check as required by state
• Must be able to provide proof of identity and right to work in the United States

Responsibilities

• Embrace and execute our Total Patient Experience to build relationships with all patients while delivering great medical support
• Comply with all company policies and procedures including HIPAA
• Practice urgency at all times placing value on a patient’s time, as well as the doctor’s time and schedule
• Operate ophthalmic testing equipment (lensometer, autorefractor/keratometer, retinal camera, visual field, GDX or OCT)
• Follow scripting for testing equipment (photos, visual fields, visual activity, etc.)
• Care for and clean all examination equipment including tonometer tip
• Interact courteously with all levels of staff
• Perform general office duties as assigned by manager
• Contribute to a positive, team-oriented, patient-focused environment
• Be available to work hours that meet business needs, including weekends or extended schedules
