Job summary

Warby Parker is seeking an Optometric Technician to work closely with our Optometrists in store eye exams. You will assist with pre-testing, data collection, contact lens training, and patient flow to ensure smooth, high-quality experiences.

You will support with in-person and video exams, manage records with HIPAA compliance, and help train the team on insertion/removal techniques while maintaining organized exam rooms.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting doctors in a clinical setting.
• Familiarity with eye exams and optometry workflows.
• Knowledge of privacy rules (HIPAA) and patient data handling.

Responsibilities

• Act as liaison between doctor and patient to build rapport.
• Perform preliminary data collection (autorefraction, acuity, IOP, pupil/eye tests).
• Support in-person and video eye exams.
• Deliver insertion/removal training for contact lenses and train team members.
• Assist with appointment flow, confirmations, and follow-up.
• Maintain accurate patient data records for doctors and reports.
