Job summary

AEG Vision in Kansas is seeking an Optometric Technician to support optometrists with pre-testing, diagnostic testing, and patient education. You will help manage the appointment schedule and ensure efficient, high-quality patient experiences from start to finish.

The role requires familiarity with eye treatment terminology, a high school diploma, and industry certification (CPO/CPOA/CPOT). On-site work with comprehensive benefits including 401(k), vision discount, HSA/FSA, PTO, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT) required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations before exam by the Optometrist (dilation, topicals, diagnostic meds, Optomap).
• Assist with scheduling referrals and organizing paperwork.
• Document medical findings in EHR and maintain HIPAA-compliant records.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient daily operations.
• Support contact lens insertion/removal and inventory management.
• Wrap up end-of-day tasks and maintain clean, organized work area.
