Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists in delivering high-quality patient care. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure a smooth patient experience from check-in to check-out.

The role requires familiarity with eye care terminology and relevant certifications (CPO, CPOA, CPOT), and offers full-time hours with on-site work. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assists with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR and ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medication and treatment.
