Job summary

AEG Vision in Richland, WA seeks an Optometric Technician to support eye care teams and deliver high-quality patient experiences. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic procedures, and help manage appointment schedules.

You will document findings in EHR, communicate with patients and doctors, and help with limited clerical tasks. This on-site role offers full-time hours and a benefits package including retirement, health, and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams or related care.
• Familiarity with medical terms used in ophthalmology.
• Ability to work collaboratively with a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing (e.g., OCT, visual field).
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to maximize efficiency.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR per HIPAA and policies.
• Provide patient education and support throughout the visit.
• May assist with refractions or act as a scribe when needed.
