Job summary

AEG seeks an Optometric Technician to support eye care teams and ensure a high-quality patient experience. You will perform pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, and help manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient care.

You will document findings in the EHR, maintain HIPAA compliance, and support clerical tasks related to medical records. The role involves patient communication and basic refractive duties.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye meds.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Experience maintaining patients’ records / files per HIPAA regulations.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-testing procedures and assist with specialty diagnostic testing.
• Manage doctor’s appointment schedule to ensure efficient care.
• Record medical findings and document communications in EHR.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications and treatments.
• Maintain clean, organized frame boards and practice area.
