AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician to support doctors and deliver exceptional patient care on-site in Longview, WA. You will conduct pre-testing, assist with diagnostic testing, manage the doctor’s schedule, and help with documentation in the EHR system, while upholding HIPAA and office policies.

Ideal candidates have eye exam experience, basic medical terminology knowledge, and relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsabilités

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist (dilations, topicals, tests).
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record patient findings in Electronic Health Records (EHR) per HIPAA guidelines.
• Support clerical duties and verify CPT codes and post-op billings.
