Job summary

Affinity Eye Care is seeking an Optometric Technician to support Optometrists and deliver high‑quality patient care. You will conduct pre‑testing, assist with specialty diagnostics, and help manage the doctor’s schedule to ensure an efficient patient experience.

The role includes performing preliminary patient evaluations, supporting post‑examination tasks, and maintaining accurate records in the EHR system while adhering to HIPAA policies.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye exam medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms associated with eye treatment.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations of patients prior to exam by the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage the doctor’s appointment schedule for efficient care.
• Record and maintain patient records in EHR, ensuring HIPAA compliance.
• Respond to patient inquiries regarding medications, treatments, and referrals.
• Perform diagnostic testing using OCT, Visual Field, Pachymetry, and Retinal Camera.
