Job summary

Orgain Family Vision in Hendersonville, TN, is seeking an Optometric Technician to work with the Optometrists, supporting patient care and education to ensure a high-quality experience from start to finish.

The role includes pre-testing, assisting with diagnostic testing, scheduling, and maintaining EHR records, with responsibilities across patient intake, documentation, and operating specialty equipment.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Industry certification (CPO, CPOA, or CPOT).

Responsibilities

• Perform preliminary evaluations prior to exam with the Optometrist.
• Assist with specialty diagnostic testing and post-exam tasks.
• Manage doctor appointment schedule for efficient patient flow.
• Record and maintain patient files in HIPAA-compliant manner.
• Coordinate referrals and follow-up visits as needed.
• Assist with diagnostic testing equipment (OCT, Visual Field, etc.).
