Job summary

AEG Vision is seeking an Optometric Technician in Dallas to support Optometrists, perform pre-testing, and assist with patient education for a smooth, high-quality experience from initial contact to post-exam follow-up.

The role involves handling diagnostic testing, medical documentation, and coordinating referrals while maintaining HIPAA-compliant records and collaborating with team members to deliver exceptional care.

Qualifications

• Experience evaluating patients for eye exams and dispensing eye medications.
• Familiarity with medical terms related to eye care.
• Experience maintaining patient records in compliance with HIPAA.
• Industry certifications: CPO, CPOA or CPOT.

Responsibilities

• Assist Optometrists with patient care and education to ensure high-quality experiences.
• Conduct pre-testing procedures and support specialty diagnostic testing.
• Assist with scheduling, patient communications, and post-exam tasks.
• Document findings in EHR and support clerical duties related to medical documentation.
• Maintain clinic cleanliness and organize frame boards and displays.
• May act as scribe or perform refractions as requested.
• Handle end-of-day wrap-up, scheduling confirmation, and recalls.
