Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group in New Mexico is seeking a compassionate Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) to join our eye care team at Roswell, Clovis, and Hobbs locations. The NP will perform comprehensive eye examinations, diagnose ocular conditions, and co-manage pre- and post-operative care within a multidisciplinary setting.

The role requires an active NM NP license, DEA, and at least two years of NP experience (ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred).

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license issued by the New Mexico Board of Nursing.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in New Mexico.
• MSN or Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years of NP clinical experience; ophthalmology or integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing, refraction, and anterior/posterior segment evaluations.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract surgery and LASIK.
• Order diagnostic imaging and ocular testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography).
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when needed.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in the EHR and comply with HIPAA/OSHA.
