Job summary

Physicians Eyecare Group is seeking a Certified Nurse Practitioner (CNP) to provide comprehensive eye care in a new eyecare center in New Mexico, reporting to the Medical Director. The role includes ocular assessments, integrative care, and collaboration with a multidisciplinary team at our on-site facility in Farmington.

Ideal candidates hold an active NM NP license and a NM DEA registration, with 2+ years in clinical NP roles, preferably in ophthalmology or integrative medicine.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted NP license issued by the NM Board of Nursing.
• Current DEA registration or eligibility to obtain one in NM.
• MSN or DNP from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2 years NP clinical experience; ophthalmology/integrative medicine preferred.
• Strong proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and clinical documentation.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and patient education skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive eye exams including visual acuity testing and ocular assessments.
• Diagnose and manage common ocular conditions including dry eye, conjunctivitis, blepharitis, glaucoma co-management, and diabetic eye disease.
• Co-manage pre- and post-operative care for cataract, LASIK, and other procedures.
• Order imaging and ocular testing such as OCT, visual fields, and fundus photography.
• Refer patients to ophthalmologists or specialists when scope is exceeded.
