Job summary

Visionworks of America is seeking a part-time Clinical Specialist/Optometric Assistant to support patients before and during eye examinations. You will prepare patients for onsite and remote exams, run pre-exam tests, document findings in the EMR, and liaise between patients and Optometrists to guide the patient journey.

Responsibilities include assisting doctors, explaining procedures, and coordinating with retail staff to schedule and manage exam books.

Qualifications

• One year of related experience.
• Optical or Healthcare background preferred.
• Medical office/business professionalism required.

Responsibilities

• Assist onsite doctor with patient care and eye examinations and document results in EMR.
• Explain preliminary testing process to patients.
• Assist remote patients through remote eye exam process including testing and video conferencing.
• Coordinate with retail associates to schedule appointments and manage exam books.
