Job summary

Walman Optical, part of EssilorLuxottica, is seeking a Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) in Kent, WA. You will manage quotations, orders, and vendor relations to deliver outstanding service to customers and labs.

You will handle returns, packaging, and daily order activities, using MS Office and internal systems while maintaining accuracy and confidentiality. The role emphasizes teamwork and continuous learning.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in customer service, hospitality or call center environment.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to maintain composure with difficult customers.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational skills with attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
• Basic PC skills including MS Office (Word and Excel).
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive requests for price quotations, orders, changes, adjustments, and cancellations from customers and labs.
• Build and maintain rapport with customers to deliver best possible service.
• Receive, sort, repackage overstock and defective items for return in line with vendor policies.
• Assist in assembling and prepping frames for monthly auto-kit mailings and manage auto-ship mailing lists.
• Use a PC to retrieve customer information, stock status, orders, and update orders.
• Coordinate with vendors for orders, status updates, and quotations; follow up as needed.
• Troubleshoot problems or questions from coworkers and customers.
• Explain company policies and promotions clearly and negotiate diplomatically.
• Maintain neat, organized work area; ensure confidentiality of proprietary and HIPAA information.
• Provide training and guidance to less experienced coworkers; participate in trainings.
