Job summary

Walman Optical is seeking a Customer Service Representative (Order Clerk) in Kent, WA to build strong relationships with customers and vendors and to manage quotes, stock orders, returns and purchase orders. You will coordinate with other departments to provide top-notch service to our customers.

The role emphasizes accurate data entry, effective communication, and adherence to company policies while supporting the team in daily operations and order processing.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year experience in customer service.
• Excellent telephone etiquette and ability to maintain composure.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Good organizational and numerical accuracy.
• Basic PC skills including MS Office.
• Ability to lift/move up to 40 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Receive requests for price quotations, orders, changes, adjustments, and cancellations directly from customers and labs.
• Achieve and maintain a rapport with customers and work to give them the best possible service.
• Receive, sort, clean, and repackaging overstock and defective lenses, frames and accessories following vendor policies.
• Assist in the assembly, packaging and mailing prep for monthly auto-kit mailings; maintain relevant customer lists.
• Use a PC to retrieve customer information, stock status, and order status; update orders accurately.
• Work with vendors on orders and follow up on quotations and delivery information.
• Troubleshoot issues and communicate policies and promotions diplomatically.
• Maintain a neat work area and assist with other duties as needed.
