Job summary

Walman Optical in Kent, WA is seeking a Distribution Clerk (Inventory and Lens Order) to accurately enter purchase orders and select products for Rx and stock processing. You will retrieve products from inventory for Rx/stock processing and support cycle counts while ensuring compliance with company policies.

The role requires attention to detail, basic 10-key typing, good reading and communication skills, and the ability to lift up to 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent work experience
• 2 years of experience working in a distribution/logistics environment
• Basic use of laptop, keyboard and 10-key typing
• High attention to detail
• Good reading, writing and verbal communication skills
• Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Responsibilities

• Timely and accurate keying of lens and/or frame purchase order requirements into computer
• Retrieve product from inventories for Rx/stock processing
• Interpret reports on inventory levels, purchase orders, fill rates
• Perform cycle counts and periodic inventory
• Follow promotions, policies and procedures in order entry
• Recheck Rx accuracy before lab processing
• Match vendor shipping memos and invoices and process payments
• Maintain lab operating system software and neat workspace
• Follow attendance and safety rules and maintain confidentiality
• Assist others and train less experienced employees
• Attend in-house or sponsored training meetings
• Perform other duties as assigned
