Job summary

AEG Vision in Mars, PA seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses that fit prescription, lifestyle, and style, ensuring proper fit and accurate dispensing.

Key duties include interpreting prescriptions, maintaining patient records in the EHR, coordinating with technicians and doctors, and delivering a care-focused experience that supports patient satisfaction and loyalty.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office and Windows.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service and sales experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and lens treatments.
• Explain prescriptions and ensure accurate dispensing.
• Enter prescription information into EHR and ALE systems.
• Coordinate with technicians and doctors to ensure timely order completion.
• Provide exceptional patient service and educate on care, warranties, and insurance.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice area.
• Follow up on pending orders and inform patients of delays.
