Job summary

AEG Vision in Latrobe, PA seeks an Optician to provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and accessories that fit prescriptions, lifestyle, and personal style.

Responsibilities include accurate measurements, proper frame fit, lens dispensing, patient education on care and warranty, and maintaining patient records in the EHR system. ABO/NCLE is preferred but not required, and strong customer service in a sales-focused environment

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MC Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains products and services.
• Receive patient handoff and identify visual needs to recommend frames and lenses.
• Keep current on products, rebates, lenses, and frame options.
• Take and return patient calls; update patients and resolve order issues with escalation as needed.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lens types, and lens treatments per needs.
• Educate patients on eyeglass and contact lens care, warranty, and coverage.
