Job summary

AEG seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care on-site in Bridgeport, CT. You will help patients select frames and lenses, measure accurately, dispense correctly, and ensure comfortable fits and satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School or GED required.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• HIPAA experience preferred.
• PC skills including MS Office/Windows.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an extraordinary patient experience with tailored eyewear recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and treatments per prescription and lifestyle.
• Keep up-to-date on products, rebates, and lens/frame options.
• Enter prescription data into EHR/ALE and manage order status communications.
• Educate patients on lens care, warranty, and insurance coverage.
