Job summary

AEG is seeking an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. The role involves guiding patients in frame and lens choices, ensuring proper fit and dispensing, and delivering a superior patient experience.

You will interpret prescriptions, manage EHR entries, and stay current on insurance plans, warranties, and product options. This onsite position emphasizes accuracy, service, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and word processing.

Responsibilities

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient with tailored eyewear recommendations.
• Assist patients in selecting frames and lenses based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Educate patients on insurance coverage, warranties, and service options.
• Enter prescription information into the EHR and ALE systems accurately.
• Ensure proper frame fit, lens dispensing, and eyewear adjustments for comfort and prescription accuracy.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, rebates, and lens types available.
• Communicate with technicians and managers to track orders and status updates.
• Inspect final products for quality and organize work area for visual appeal.
