AEG seeks an Optician to provide expert eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lenses, ensure proper fit and measurements, and maintain accurate documentation in the EHR/ALE system.

You will educate patients on lens treatments, warranty options, and insurance benefits, while delivering outstanding service and accuracy with a patient-first approach.

Qualifications

• High School or GED qualification.
• ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience working as an Optician strongly preferred.
• Experience with HIPAA requirements preferred.
• PC skills to include MS Office, Windows, and Word Processing.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills (verbal and written).
• Excellent customer service skills and pleasant demeanor, experience with sales preferred.
• Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.

Responsabilités

• Delivers extraordinary experience to each patient and explains customized product recommendations.
• Obtain patient handoffs from technicians/doctors and assess visual needs via lifestyle questions.
• Keep current on products, rebates, lenses, and frame types available.
• Manage patient calls, order status, and issue resolution; escalate to management when needed.
• Assist patients in selecting frames, lenses, and coatings based on prescription and lifestyle.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, warranties, and replacement options.
• Understand medical and vision insurance plans, eligibility, benefits, and coverage limits.
• Enter prescriptions into EHR/ALE and ensure proper documentation.
