Job summary

AEG Vision in Owosso, MI seeks a part-time Optician to provide eyewear solutions and exceptional patient care. You will assist patients in selecting frames and lens options, ensure proper fit, and dispense lenses with accuracy while guiding them through insurance and care guidance.

The role emphasizes patient satisfaction, teamwork with technicians and managers, and maintaining up-to-date product knowledge and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required; ABO/NCLE preferred but not required.
• Minimum of one-year experience as an Optician preferred.
• Strong communication, customer service and sales skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist patients in selecting eyewear and accessories that fit prescription, lifestyle and personal style.
• Ensure proper frame fit, accurate measurements, and correct lens dispensing.
• Interpret prescriptions and enter information into EHR and ALE systems; maintain patient charts.
• Educate patients on eyewear care, insurance, warranties, and replacements.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the practice and displays.
