VSP Vision is seeking a full-time on-site Optical Specialist in Cupertino, CA to help customers find eyewear that best matches their needs. You will assist with frame selection, measurements, dispensing eyewear, and ensure accurate pricing and delivery quotes, while maintaining high patient satisfaction.

The role requires 1–2 years of related experience, MS Office proficiency, and strong communication skills to build rapport with patients and team members. State licensure may be required.

Qualifikationen

• 1–2 years of experience in a related field.
• State licensure or certification by a national optician association if required by state.
• Working knowledge of MS Office package.
• Demonstrated ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective verbal communication to prioritize calls and inquiries.
• Effective written communication to document customer situations clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal and rapport-building skills.

Aufgaben

• Determine the reason for the patient’s visit, identify lifestyle needs, and deliver recommendations to patients for eyewear needs following the prescription by their optometrist.
• Attract and retain customers by delivering exceptional customer service and promoting patient satisfaction.
• Assist customers in frame selection and coordinate with measurements and prescriptions.
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit customer needs and occupations.
• Take measurements, assist with adjustments and dispensing eyewear.
• Ensure correct pricing and delivery quotes to patients.
• Provide enthusiastic and concise communication to meet patient expectations and support team alignment.
• Clean and merchandise displays daily.
• Assist with insurance billing and processing orders.
• Document patient communications in the practice software system.
• Work on special projects and other related duties as assigned.
