Job summary

VSP Vision is seeking an eyewear professional to help customers find the best match for glasses and contacts while delivering the highest levels of quality and care.

You will assist with frame selection, take measurements, dispense eyewear, and coordinate insurance billing while ensuring accurate pricing and timely delivery. Maintain a clean, well-merchandised showroom and document patient conversations in the practice software.

Qualifications

• Experience in eyewear sales or optician field.
• State licensure as optician if required by state.
• Proficient in MS Office.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong verbal and written communication.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to assess customer needs.
• Problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Determine the reason for the patient’s visit and recommend eyewear per prescription.
• Deliver exceptional customer service and foster patient retention.
• Assist customers in frame selection and coordinate measurements.
• Recommend lenses, coatings, and frames to suit needs.
• Take measurements, assist with adjustments, and dispense eyewear.
• Ensure accurate pricing and realistic delivery quotes for patients.
• Provide enthusiastic, concise communication to meet patient expectations.
• Merchandise displays daily and maintain a clean showroom.
• Assist with insurance billing and processing orders.
• Document all patient communications in the practice software system.
• Work on special projects and other duties as assigned.
